The queer underground scene in Shanghai has seen tremendous growth in recent years. However, sectored borders as a result of the pandemic hindered the rest of the world to participate and to share their exploration. To re-establish a link between their cultural production and other parts of the globe, we are bringing works from Shanghai‘s underground queer artists to Hamburg. Different interpretations on the theme ‘’Extended Bodies’’ from Shanghai, along with contributions from Germany, Georgia, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Japan, and Turkistan are presented here.Through extending the same invitation to the viewers, we are hoping to cross existing barriers and establish yet another space to cultivate global solidarity.
